1. On the left side of the screen click on ‘Session Recordings’. Then select ‘Manage Session Recordings’.
2. Click on ‘Create new session recording’.
3. Full out the following details:
- Name
- Number of sessions: Enter 10% of your visitors here. For example you have around 1000 visitors you will enter 100.
- Entry Pages:
- URL
- "Equals exactly"
- Your URL
- Advanced options:
- Sample Rate: 10%
- Min Session Time: 5 seconds
- Enable 'requires activity' option. This ensures that someone is actually looking at your website (scrolling, clicking, etc.) and isn't just a bot or something similar.
- Enable 'capture keystrokes' option. This allows you to see reports on where people are scrolling and looking on the site.
4. Click on ‘Create new session recording’.
5. On the left side of the screen you will see the newly created session. Click on it to view all the session recordings that go into that particular section.
How do I know when I'm finished?
1. A new session recording with advanced settings has been created and shows up under the Session Recording section. Once a video is captured it shows up under this session, you'll be able to see what visitors are actually doing on your site!
